Royal School students experience comic creating with artist Linh Rab

Participating in the workshop, students from grades 3 to 8 of the Royal International Bilingual School (Royal School) Phu Lam campus learned how to creatively transform knowledge from books into their own intellectual products.

Under the sharing and guidance of artist Linh Rab (Nguyen The Linh), students of Royal School Phu Lam campus enthusiastically participated in a series of interesting activities during the workshop, from learning about the process of becoming a comic creator, the steps of designing comics, to actually creating their own comic pages.

In addition, Royal School students were also introduced to the "Sketchnote" method, a way to transform knowledge content and learning topics into stories of their own creation. As a result, the learning process of students at Royal School becomes more lively and they are more proactive in mastering knowledge and developing their creative thinking.

Unique ideas were “sketchnoted” by students

Comic artist Nguyen The Linh is beloved by readers for his relatable and artistically rich works such as: Cuoc phieu luu cua De ut (adapted from Diary of a cricket by writer To Hoai), Minh khong the ngu duoc (2013), Tua di lac roi (2020), etc.

Through the lessons shared by the artist, from scriptwriting, sketching, inking, coloring, to text processing, and special effects, Royal School students gained a better understanding of the production stages of each of their favorite comic books.
